Dan Parker is a singer-songwriter and high school teacher who’s reigniting his musical projects in Nanaimo. Reclaiming his Brazilian ancestry (three of his four grandparents are Brazilian), he’s now grooving under the new alias Bandeira Parker. He’s currently playing Bossa Nova and Musica Popular Brasileira (MPB) tunes in Portuguese with a trio of Nanaimo-based jazz musicians.

Brazilian-Canadian singer Dan Parker is reigniting his musical projects in Nanaimo.
Reclaiming his Brazilian ancestry (three of his four grandparents are Brazilian), he’s now rocking under the new alias Bandeira Parker.
He’s currently playing Bossa Nova and Musica Popular Brasileira (MPB) tunes in Portuguese with jazz pianist Michael Anderson. On March 19th 2022 he’ll be playing the Bounce Back festival at Maffeo Sutton.
